SEZGI GULER
Sezgi Güler is a corporate lawyer with a focus on finance, venture capital transactions, and investment adviser compliance. Based on the East Coast, she serves as in-house counsel at a global impact investor and an SEC-registered investment adviser, where she supports mission-driven investments in financial institutions for underserved populations. Her work includes transactional support and negotiation of investments in fintech companies and financial service providers in emerging markets. She also provides day-to-day legal and regulatory support on matters related to funds and portfolio companies, working closely with investment teams.
Her prior U.S. experience includes advising high-technology startups emerging from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology at a boutique law firm in Boston. Before relocating to the U.S., she was a senior associate at a law firm within the PwC Türkiye network, where she advised financial institutions, including banks and alternative investment fund managers.
Sezgi holds an LL.M. in Banking and Financial Law from Boston University School of Law, where she received the A. John Serino Outstanding Graduate Banking Law Student Prize. She also holds a law degree from Istanbul University Faculty of Law and is admitted to practice in New York, Massachusetts, and Istanbul. Her academic contributions focus on fiduciary duties in fund governance and employee representation on corporate boards.
