Ayse Gundogdu
Ayşe Gündoğdu is a lawyer admitted to the New York and Istanbul Bar Associations, focusing on technology startups, venture capital transactions, and cross-border corporate matters.
She earned her LL.B. from Istanbul University Faculty of Law and later obtained an LL.M. in International Business Law from Boston University School of Law. Following her studies, she gained practical experience in Boston working as a law clerk and research assistant before returning to Türkiye.
Ayşe has advised companies on compliance with U.S. sanctions and export control laws administered by the U.S. Department of Commerce, the Department of the Treasury, and the Department of Justice. She has also worked alongside international law firms advising major Turkish companies engaged in cross-border business, helping them assess sanctions risks and develop procedures aligned with U.S., UK, and EU regulatory frameworks.
She currently focuses on startup and technology law, venture capital transactions, and cross-border corporate matters, working closely with founders and investors on company formation, venture financing, governance, and international expansion. With a background spanning international compliance and commercial law, she brings a risk-conscious yet business-oriented perspective to helping early-stage companies navigate complex legal environments while building scalable businesses.
