Maria Landry



As Director of Admission, Maria Landry is responsible for the L.L.M. and S.J.D. admission process, counsels prospective students throughout the application process, and attends recruitment events throughout the country. Prior to joining the Office of Admission in 2016, Ms. Landry was Assistant Director of International Programs beginning in 2013. She coordinated Tulane’s law exchange programs (students and scholars), organized academic events for international students, and coordinated Tulane Law School’s summer study abroad programs in six countries.

Ms. Landry (née Themudo Luizello Gusmao Pereira) was born and raised in Lisbon, Portugal and graduated with a law degree from Universidade Catolica de Lisboa – Faculdade de Direito. After working in Portugal for two years, Ms. Landry moved to New Orleans in 2009 and graduated from Tulane Law School with an L.L.M. in Energy & Environmental Law in 2010. From 2010 to 2013, Ms. Landry clerked for a plaintiff’s firm working on the BP Deepwater Horizon litigation.
